How much will it cost?

It depends on the job, what's behind the wall, and how long it takes to get to. The price is agreed before any work starts — you won't get a surprise invoice afterwards. Call or send the form with a description and some photos if you can, and you'll get a number before anyone turns up.

Do you do emergency call-outs?

Yes, 24 hours a day. Burst pipes, major leaks, blocked sewers, no hot water and gas issues. Call 0431 030 924 rather than using the form — the phone is faster and it goes to Daniel, not a call centre.

I can smell gas. What do I do?

Don't use any electrical switches, don't light anything, and don't use your phone inside. Turn the gas off at the meter if you can reach it safely, open doors and windows, get everyone outside, and call 1800 GAS LEAK on 1800 427 532 — that's the 24-hour emergency line and it's free. Then call us on 0431 030 924 to make it safe and repair it properly.

My drain keeps blocking even after it's been cleared. Why?

Usually because the blockage was pushed through rather than removed, or because the pipe itself has a problem — tree roots through a joint, a bellied section holding water, or a cracked pipe letting soil in. High-pressure jetting scours the full diameter of the pipe rather than making a hole in the blockage, and a camera run afterwards shows whether you're dealing with a one-off or a pipe that needs repair. Clearing the same drain three times is more expensive than fixing it once.

Should I repair my hot water system or replace it?

Depends on the age and what's failed. A thermostat or element on a five-year-old unit is worth repairing. A leaking tank on a twelve-year-old one is not — the tank is the unit, and you'll be paying again within months. You'll get a straight answer rather than a push toward the more expensive option, including when that answer is that it'll run fine for another few years.

Who actually turns up?

Daniel. DJRM is owner-operated, so the person who quotes the job is the person who does it. If a larger job needs an extra pair of hands you'll be told in advance who's coming and why.
